Martina Navratilova, left, paid a reported $3 million to ex Toni Layton, center, and about that much to another ex, Judy Nelson, right. The tennis legend had relationships of about eight years with both women, according to DNA.com.

Martina Navratilove and her former partner, Toni Layton, have reportedly settled out of court in their long-running divorce battle.
According to the website Daily News & Analysis, the tennis legend and Layton had had “an unofficial wedding ceremony” some years back during which they agreed to share all the assets they obtained during their relationship. Layton was named grantor and trustee of Navratilova’s estate back in 2002. But Martina had her removed from the position in 2008, accusing her of “abusing her power for improper purposes.”

And Layton, who left her husband for Navratilova, accused Navratilova of dumping her without warning after about eight years together and changing the locks on the home they shared in Florida. So Layton filed suit to get her share of, DNA said, money, four homes, several cars, a boat, jewelry, art, pets, a Florida animal sanctuary and “even a set of guns.”
Although Navratilova’s attorney said terms of the settlement were confidential, DNA says Layton got about $3 million.
Hmmmm. Let’s see ….. This isn’t the first time Martina has made headlines with a divorce battle. Back in 1991, it was former Fort Worth socialite Judy Nelson she was battling. Nelson had left her husband for Navratilova; they had been together about eight years; Nelson took Navratilova to court for money after they broke up; and Nelson ended up with about $3.5 million (at least that’s what DNA.com says).
Eerie coincidence, huh?
