Okay. So Heinz has apparently already caved in to right wing pressure in Great Britain and pulled the “mum” ad that showed two partners saying goodbye with a kiss.

That’s too bad, too. It was a cute ad. So instead of complimenting them on a good ad, perhaps we should all be complaining to them for being such wusses.
Um. I don’t think those were supposed to be two “Partners”. The ad appears to me to be saying that if UK moms purchased this product, it would be LIKE having a New York Deli chef in your own home. The kids called the chef “Mum” not “Dad”, he clearly had a New York accent in a commercial aimed only in the UK, and the kiss was supposed to be so shocking as to make you remember the product and talk about it to friends and co-workers.
I don’t think they were trying to say that the two men were partners in any way.
