If you were just walking down the street, nothing seemed to happen. Maybe the temp dropped a degree or two momentarily. Maybe it got slightly darker. But the moon traversing between the sun and earth, not total in Dallas, was a magic show for those wearing the correct protective eyewear (which, as photos of our Commander-in-Cheeto prove, not everyone was smart enough to put on). It was an amazing moment — more than a moment; you could see the outline of the moon for about an hour in various stages of obscuring. Happy eclipse, everyone!
