You might not be able to see the opera on Friday night, but you can certainly check out the Winspear this weekend, with an appearance by Oscar-nominated composer Phillip Glass, performing his piece Dracula. Glass, who previously re-scored the Jean Cocteau film La belle et la bete with stunning beauty, turns his sights on the very queer Bela Lugosi classic. It’s Saturday, Oct. 24, at 8 p.m., so you can see it and still make the fun laate-night at the Block Party. Tickets are available at TITAS.org.
I’m going! Philip Glass and TITAS rocks. You can come casual or dressed in drag. I can’t wait to see the Winspear Opera House!
