On Thursday, Gayming Magazine, the world’s only LGBTQ+ video game magazine (who knew?), announced the launch of its new concept Gayming TV that will feature
“bitesize queer geek culture” on the daily for 12 weeks. The content will broadcast on Gayming’s website and its social accounts on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

Robin Gray, the founder of Gayming Magazine and co-founder of parent company Gray Jones Media said in Thursday’s press release: “Our mission has always been to bring queer geek culture into the mainstream, and this new series of shorts we’re calling Gayming TV continues to do just that. This lineup is our daily heartbeat, showcasing the incredible breadth of queer passion across the entire spectrum of nerd culture.”

Gayming TV will feature videos from five LGBTQ gaming influencers: CtrlAltQuin, DEERE,
DEVOGLAER, MiladyConfetti and PearlTeese. Over the course of 12 weeks, they will
host their own show with each exploring horror, comedy and entertainment as well as gaming history and characters natch.

Gayming Magazine launched six years ago to highlight the queer community in the gaming and geek arenas of pop culture. The magazine now hosts its annual Gayming Awards and plans to continue to build the brand’s footprint. The new series is an example of Gayming’s footprint expansion.

The first episode of each show premieres today, Oct. 23, with new episodes airing Monday to Friday every week for the next three months. Content will break over the holidays and then resume in January.

  • MiladyConfetti hosts Confetti Investigates, is a dive into all things queer video games and nerdy topics every Monday. “For too long, queer voices have been an Easter egg in gaming, and my show aims to put them right in the main story,” they said in the release.
  • Glitch Please!, a love letter to gaming with a comedic twist, airs on Tuesdays with host CtrlAltQuin. “When everything feels heavy, finding the punchline is a radical act of joy that reminds us we’re all in this together”, they mentioned.
  • On Wednesdays, Pearl Teese host her entertainment show Pearl’s Teesers, a weekly clip connecting gamers to TV/film updates. “It’s important to weave gaming, TV and film together as our community’s narrative is too powerful and glamorous to be contained by just one screen,” they shared.
  • DEERE will host Gaming’s a Drag each Thursday putting the spotlight on queer characters and drag icons in gaming history. They say, “Video games have a plethora of outrageous characters that have become gay icons and inspirations for so many drag artists. I can’t wait to share how these characters connect to queerness and gush about my favorite video game legends!”
  • Appropriately freaky for Fridays will be DeVo’s Terror-Byte with DEVOGLAER specializing in horror content and the LGBTQ community. “When you’ve been made to feel fear in the real world, there’s a radical catharsis in choosing your scares and finding strength in the shadows,” they stated.
