There’s been a developing story for a few weeks, reported lately by the Miami Herald, about Charles Perez, a gay TV news anchor in Miami. A few months ago, Perez sought an injunction against his ex (who allegedly leaked a private e-mail), which set off a chain reaction, with Perez’s orientation becoming more commonly known. Perez claims his duties at the ABC affiliate began to diminish, and he lost a good evening spot.
This week, Perez filed a discrimination claim against his employer… and the station promptly ended his employment contract.
