Marc Pourner

Marc Pourner, 28, of Spring, Texas, was found dead just north of Houston on Saturday night, Nov. 14, a little more than two days after he went missing.
Pourner had  been tied up and beaten to death, and his body was found in his burnt-out car on FM 1485 in Montgomery County. He suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
Pourner went missing Thursday, Nov. 12, and his body was found at about 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Authorities won’t say whether Pourner’s murder is being investigated as a hate crime.
The murder comes a little more than a week after voters in Houston rejected an equal rights ordinance following a particularly disturbing advertising campaign that attacked the LGBT community, especially transgender people.
Police located Pourner’s body after receiving a call from someone described as a person of interest, and investigators may be close to an arrest.
An autopsy was scheduled for today (Monday, Nov. 16).
