Freedom Advocacy Day registration deadline extended

Equality Texas, the statewide LGBT lobbying organization, has announced that the deadline to register to participate in the EqTx Freedom Advocacy Lobby Day on Monday, April 13, has been extended through today, Reserve your spot here.
The day begins at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 1300 Lavaca. Lunch and role-play lobby practice is about 11:45 a.m. By 12:30 p.m., citizen lobbyists will be heading to the north steps of The Capitol for a Call to Action, and then into the building to visit lawmakers and their staffs about 1 p.m. The day will end around 4 with a happy hour at Scholz Garten, 1607 San Jacinto Blvd.
Those from the DFW Metroplex who want to head down to Austin for the event can sign up to ride the bus sponsored by Equality Texas and GALA North Texas.
