The article touches on their appearance at Fort Worth City Hall, FW LGBT leaders response to the group and background on the outspoken Blake Wilkinson. Here’s how it starts:
Most Fort Worth citizens were introduced to Queer LiberAction, a lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender activist group, on the evening news last summer. Footage of the packed July 14 city council meeting was broadcast on TV stations all over North Texas. It featured Mayor Mike Moncrief, gavel in hand, facing off against a wiry young man with long thin sideburns who wouldn’t sit down or shut up. (In the age of viral video, the entire episode was uploaded for the world to see on YouTube). Amid the mayor’s stern warnings of “Take a seat,” and “Don’t interrupt,” and “Do you want to be removed?” the young man waved a piece of paper and claimed to speak for the crowd:
“Sir, we respectfully ask to be put at the top of the agenda. We’re tired of being put at the bottom of the list. Hundreds of people are here tonight to talk about what happened at the Rainbow Lounge two weeks ago.”
The article is a decent balance of both QL and the FW community. And of course, don’t forget the comments section. They make for an added bonus.
one thing about the response to the rainbow lounge raid that has bothered me is the attitude of some people in ft worth trying to exclude dallasites from this issue. i understand it is your city, but it is my city too. i lived there and loved it for almost 9 years and only moved to dallas out of convenience for my work. i still go to ft worth and spend my money in their shops, restaurants and bars. i still have many dear friends there. and while i might not have much of a say in local politics there i still feel a connection and kinship with the community in ft worth. so please, stop acting like all people from dallas that drive over to protest, attend vigils, or show support are outsiders that are to be excluded and driven out.
I’m a peace loving man but these people, “deviants” are getting way past being on my nerves.
I’m sick of, “in you’re face, you do as I say and like or lump it attitude.”
To be fair I’m very unhappy about a church constructing a new building so close to an established family business that was started with ultimate goal of it selling as a business not a property, “for retirement” which it has been reduced to by the church. They knew they would be given preference over the existing business but did it anyway, “they could have done the construction just 30 ft further away from the business and caused no problems,” knowing they are destroying a life time of work and a retirement dream. Yes the business can continue but it can’t be sold as the business. It can only be sold as property.
So much for the loving, giving, caring churches. The Assholes!
This reduces the property sale value from about $350,000.00 to the acreage price of only about $2,000.00 plus the buildings at about $65,000.00. Way short of the nest egg they have been working on for years. Three cheers for live and let live.
Churches don’t do it and Queers are much worse. Time to slow these queers down.
I’m too old my health precludes me doing it or there would be many fewer of these obamanations, “queers” and the rest would be a little less assertive in injecting their filth into out lives. I used to have the I’ll leave you alone if you leave me alone attitude. No more!
You abuse everything around you. You’re like being benevolent to Termites with a live and let live attitude. They and Queers will destroy the very home they are dependent on.

I’m for giving you about 20 grains and let you have as many lbs of lead as you need.
It isn’t right and “the in your face bullying tactics of the queers” isn’t right.
They will stop at nothing short of destroying this country so I contend it just might be time to use force, “violence if you insist” to stop all bullying tactics such as this.
I would rather see the scouts completely done away with than to expose young children to this insanity.
So maybe it is time for some good ole Texas show the bully’s how it feels.
To hell with the ultra liberal judges and lawyers. Time to take Texas back from all of them.
