Facebook has been “flooded” with a picture purporting to show downtown inundated after today’s rains.
The only problem? That’s not a picture from 2012. It’s a Houston Chronicle picture from 2001 when Tropical Storm Allison swamped the city.
Not that today’s flooding wasn’t extreme. The Houston Transtar cameras captured this image of Brays Bayou almost coming over the bridges at MacGreggor this afternoon. Fortunatly the waters have since receded.
