DMA’s Eugene McDermott Director Dr. Agustín Arteaga discusses the work of Abraham Angel with DVtv host Regina Lyn.

Dr. Agustín Arteaga, Dallas Museum of Art’s Eugene McDermott director, discusses the work of gay Mexican artist Abraham Angel, who has had a lasting impact despite the fact that his death in 1925, at the age of 19, he left behind fewer than 30 works. Abraham Ángel (Between Wonder and Seduction) features nearly all of his known remaining works and is the first major survey of his work in almost 40 years as well as the first retrospective of his paintings in the United States.

The exhibit is on display at DMA through Jan 28.
