Two former Drag Race stars descended on Dallas this weekend. Willam from season 4 performed at S4 with a meet and greet afterward to a packed Rose Room. Meanwhile, Carmen Carrera from season 3 was headlining her own event at The Brick with her own meet and greet after a two-song performance.

Willam performed his single Chow Down on Chick-fil-A while Carrera performed a song by En Vogue and another by Toni Braxton. Approximately 200-300 people showed up to see Carrera’s hypnotic performance.

Ken “X,” who asked that we not publish his last name, said he was excited that she was finally performing in Dallas. “I wish more would come to town. They’re good ambassadors for the community.”

Jennifer Morris of Plano said she is a fan because her brother is currently transitioning, and it’s something he can relate to. “Yeah, [Carmen’s] actually brought us closer together just by being open with who she is. I’ve learned a lot about the trans community because of both of them.”

Carrera is currently a model represented by Elite Model Management in New York. In addition to being a drag performer, Carrera made headlines when she announced that she was transgender and was beginning the transition process.
