Dallas police Sgt. Michael Doeringsfeld sent us this message and asked we get word out.
To all that are interested in becoming a VIP (Volunteers in Patrol), the Northwest Division will be conducting training this Saturday, March 12 at 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The training will be at the Northwest Police Division 9801 Harry Hines Blvd. Dallas Texas, 75220 in the detail room.
To become a VIP the following requirements must be met: at least 21 years old, a member of a neighborhood association or crime watch, complete a successful background check, posses a valid Texas Driver’s License, have no moving traffic violations in the last two years, have no felony convictions, no misdemeanor A or B convictions in the last 5 years, no DWI conviction in the last ten years, and successfully complete all required training.
