Dallas Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead early this morning (Wednesday, Sept. 23) near the intersection of Maple Avenue and Cedar Springs Road in the Uptown neighborhood.
According to police reports, officers responded at 4:20 a.m. to a “call for service” in the 2900 block of Maple Avenue. That is the block between Cedar Springs Road and Wolf Street. Officers found at that location a man who had been “shot by an unknown suspect who fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.”
The victim was taken by Dallas Fire-Rescue to a local hospital where he was declared dead a short time later, reports indicate.
According to DPDBeat, Dallas Police Department’s blog, “The facts and circumstances surrounding this incident are currently being investigated and will be documented on case #140120-2026.”
