President joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris with their spouses at the White House on the Fourth of July this year

District delegates from the 30th Congressional District, which is represented by Rep. Jasmine Crockett and includes several gayborhoods, recently issued a statement as “a call for unity” and a declaration of their support for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. The statement is published here in its entirety:

“As pledged Biden delegates to the Democratic National Convention from Texas’ 30th Congressional District, we firmly support President Joe Biden for re-election. Representing the most Democratic district in Texas, which voted 80 percent for Biden-Harris in 2020, we are committed to ensuring his continued leadership.

“This election is a clear choice: Joe Biden, who champions progress and the working class, versus Donald Trump, who prioritizes personal vendettas. We believe in the Biden campaign’s strategy to:

    • Highlight the president’s significant achievements
    • Contrast Biden’s leadership with Trump’s recklessness
    • Focus on winning key electoral states
    • Strengthen grassroots support
    • Promote a bold future agenda

“Under Biden, nearly 11 million jobs were created, including 750,000 in manufacturing, and unemployment hit a 50-year low. The American Rescue Plan and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law boosted the economy and infrastructure. Key achievements include appointing Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, passing the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and expanding veterans’ healthcare. The Inflation Reduction Act, reproductive rights preservation, ACA strengthening, and significant student debt relief further showcase his commitment to economic growth and social justice.

“We stand united in support of President Biden and Vice President Harris as they lead us toward a brighter future.”

It is signed by 30th Congressional District Level Delegates to the DNC Randall Bryant,  Crystal Chism, Dallas County Democratic Party Chairman Kardal Coleman, Samantha Conde, 30th Congressional District Democratic Committeewoman Kathy Nealy, Cheryl Smith and DNC Member-Elect Jeff Strater
