DIFFA Dallas presents its 17th annual Burgers + Burgundy event on Thursday, Oct. 1, at The Village Dallas on the Glen Lawn, 5605 Village Glen Drive. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. with for those with early access passes, with general admission from 7-9 p.m.
The theme for this year’s event is “Peace and Love,” and guests are encouraged to “dress in your best peace-and-love-inspired retro outfits.” Tickets are $100 per person for general admission and $150 per person for VIP admission, available online at MyOneCause.com. Ticket availability at the door is not guaranteed.
Burgers + Burgundy was created by Michelin-star celebrity Chef John Tesar, of Knife restaurant, and each year brings together a cadre of outstanding local and regional chefs to show off their best unique slider creations, each paired with the chef’s chosen burgundy. The chefs for this year’s event include Tesar along with Eduardo Osario of Meridian at The Village, Ariel Wakeland with Punch Drunk Chef Meal Prep, Caroline Perini of Easy Slider, Jeremy Massudi of St. Martin’s, Dave Culwell of Burger Schmurger and Loro Asian Smokehouse and Bar.
DJ Flip will be on hand to provide the music, and there will be wine pulls, an open bar, entertainment and a raffle.
In addition, those attending Burgers + Burgundy will be the first to witness the big reveal of the theme for 2027 House of DIFFA, DIFFA’s premier annual black-tie gala held each spring, with features a runway show and signature live and silent auctions of bespoke, custom-designed jackets crafted and donated by prominent local and national designers.
Proceeds from DIFFA events — both Burgers + Burgundy and House of DIFFA — “directly support DIFFA’s mission to provide funding, resources and support to organizations working to improve the lives of people affected by HIV/AIDS and to advance health equity in North Texas,” notes the DIFFA Dallas website.
