James Odle

James W. Odle was born July 14, 1960, in Tulsa, Okla.

Having lived in Dallas for many years, he was taken from this life on Easter Sunday, April 8 at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Odle was known for having a very big heart and was kind and gentle to everyone he met. But in the end, his heart just couldn’t keep up with him.

Odle worked in the graphics printing industry for more than 25 years while here in Dallas, and was very active in the local community. He was loved by everyone whose lives he touched.

Odle is survived by his parents, Charles and Beth Odle; a sister, Lorrie; a brother, John; and his nieces and nephews, Indy, Michael and Belle, all of Tulsa. He also leaves behind his loving partner, Jim Hampton of Dallas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of North Texas at www.msrnt.org.

Odle wishes were to be cremated. There will be a family visitation Tuesday, April 24 at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway in Dallas. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. His ashes will eventually be scattered along a beach in Fort Lauderdale, which he loved.
