Dash for the Beads presents check to FIDO

Dash for the Beads co-founders David Sassano and Chad West presented a check for $7,500 to Finding Inspired Dog Owners (FIDO) Oak Cliff. Dash is an annual 5K run held during Oak Cliff Mardi Gras weekend that begins and ends in Bishop Arts and raises money for Oak Cliff organizations.

FIDO plans to use the money to create Oak Cliff’s first dog park.

Like many Oak Cliff events, participation is from the community at-large but the LGBT community is heavily involved in the organization and funding. In addition to its chairs, LGBT sponsorship came from Petropolitan, Chad West Law Firm, KNON, Dallas Voice, Hattie’s, Dave Perry Miller, Hewitt Habgood Realty, Robb Puckett and Bishop Street Market.
