Brandon Hilton seems to be on a roll. Just a few weeks ago, I blogged about his new video. Now, the Dallas singer is releasing his new single, “Adrenaline,” from his upcoming album Nocturnal. Not too bad from a self-made ce-web-rity. According to his e-mail sent out last night, this album will show a whole new side to Hilton. “Adrenaline” is Hilton’s first ballad which he figures will show his more artistic side.
“People were complaining because all I usually create is fun dance music, well my new album isn’t like that, I’m showing my serious side as a serious artist,” his e-mail states.
Personally, I’m not really sure an “artist” would bow to pressures of people complaining. Hey Hilton, if you don’t wanna do ballads, don’t. “Adrenaline” is a decent effort with just enough going right and wrong to balance it out. Overall, the tune is simple but I have to say, it hooked me. I mean, it’s auto-tuned to hell and a little cliche in the lyrics department, but it works well enough.
And we’re all in agreement here that Hilton provided one of the best lines ever in his press release. According to the e-mail, when he was asked about Nocturnal, he said — get ready for it — “this is all I will say, this album is about my death as an Internet Celebrity, and my birth as an Artist!”

wow, I love this track from him. its so different from his other songs, thanks for posting this. I do believe he uses melodyne on his voice, not autotune. but I’m not sure.

This track is quite different than anything he has done up to this point. I think it is good to see him stretch into a new area. That’s how we all learn and grow. You have to challenge yourself! Kudos
I”m sorry, but I have no idea why this is even in the Voice..maybe Rich Lopez got a kickback or something. But the song is absolutely bad. The production quality is very low and making your voice digital and using pitch doctor is not a good thing at times. Plus, he mumbles his words, so you can barely understand what he is even talking about.
I have watched Brandon Hilton since a few years ago and I love having seen his transition from Internet Celebrity into Artist. So proud of you, Beautifully Handsome! You have my support 100+ percent always! Each of his songs makes me feel alive and teaches me some life lesson. His music has helped me get thru some very difficult times, especially lately.

Asking an Electro artist not to use Electronic effects is like telling T-Pain not too. Yes, it can be argued that his electronic style of music requires voice synthesizers or auto-tune much like many of today’s pop stars; however, the difference between famous artists who use auto-tune and Brandon Hilton is that their music actually sounds good. Even with auto-tune Brandon Hilton’s “music” is still off-key and lacking in musicality.

nothing original or unique about this. It’s horrible, generic loops
and beats as usual with over saturated effects on the vocals. I’ve
played guitar for 30 years and worked with local bands and Brandon
Hilton (real last name Barnett) just plain does not have any
talent. The Dallas voice should get someone from Dallas Sound Lab
to critique Brandon’s music, bring in a real singer to discuss his

I am very jealous, I’ve played guitar for over twenty years and now I find out that talent isn’t necessary. Musicians and singers all over the country will be begging Brandon to share his secrets of success, just wait. I could lip sync to Cds instead of doing something stupid like using my real voice and actually learning how to play an instrument.
