Dallas Pride announced the winners of its parade entries in nine categories. The parade was held in downtown Dallas on June 6.
This was the first time since the 1970s that the Pride parade was held downtown. Dallas Pride has already announced next year’s parade and festival will remain downtown.
“From breathtaking creativity to unmatched community spirit, these 9 entries brought the magic to the streets of downtown Dallas,” Dallas Pride wrote in a press release.
And the winners are:
Best Performance: Dallas Pride Colorguard
Best Walking Group: Southwest Airlines – Out & Proud
Best Dressed/Costume: Galactic Alliance of North Texas
Best Social Commentary: Oak Lawn United Methodist Church
Best Fo-Profit Entry: Caven Enterprises
Best Non-Profit Entry: Turtle Creek Chorale
Best Theme Interpretation: Bridge Property Management
Best Overall: Starbucks
Judges Choice: TIAA
