As North Texas prepares to host the world for this year’s World Cup, this program equips participants with tools and knowledge to extend a Texas welcome to the international guests descending onto North Texas this summer. Through the FIFA Hospitality Certification Program, community members can participate in a free, 90-minute training session designed to build cultural awareness and hospitality skills. Dallas College partnered with the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee for this opportunity and training.
Participants will not only gain practical, real-world knowledge, but will also receive an overview of FIFA and the 48 participating teams; Fan Fest experiences and what to expect; cultural awareness and international etiquette; multilingual greetings to engage global visitors and practical tools like metric conversions and time standards
Attendees will also receive access to a North Texas hospitality resource guide featuring key destinations and services. Additionally, participants will earn 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and/or a personalized certificate of completion.
This program equips participants with tools to deliver culturally informed experiences while also supporting workforce readiness and community impact.
Besides, we have to show off that Southern hospitality to the rest of the world.
