Dallas Animal Services today (Tuesday, July 1) launched its Mission Pawsible effort, a city-wide adoption and foster push that lasts through July 1. The target is to 1,200 pets into loving homes by month’s end.
“We know Dallas doesn’t back down from a challenge,” said Paul Ramon, director of Dallas Animal Services. “Last year, the Dallas community adopted more than 12,000 pets from DAS, making our shelter one of the top-performing in the nation. We are on track for
another banner year of adoptions, and we’re calling on every neighborhood, family, and pet lover to step up, save a life, and be the Mission Pawsible hero these pets are waiting for.”
Rooted in the Dallas90 initiative, and as DAS strives to sustain a 90 percent save rate, Mission Pawsible aims to supercharge community engagement and pet adoptions during the shelter’s busiest season.
Thanks to Friends of Dallas Animal Services, the first 1,200 adopters get limited addition Mission Pawsible t-shirts. If you refer a friend to adopt through DAS and that person mentions your name when they adopt, you both will be entered to win one of five pet-themed gift baskets. There will also be themed weekends with giveaways, photo ops and adoption spotlights. To adopt, visit BeDallas90.org online or go to Dallas Animal Services, 1818 North Westmoreland Road, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
