The Dallas Against the Trump Agenda Coalition is organizing a march on the Republican Convention on Saturday, Sept. 10, to show that “Texans won’t stay silent!”
“They don’t want us there. That is exactly why we must shop,” noted a press release announcing the protest march. “Republicans expect to bring 20,000 people to Dallas to organize behind the Trump agenda. We are preparing a peaceful, family-friendly statewide march to confront their attacks on immigrants, women, marginalized communities, anti-fascist organizations and people, and their pursuit of endless wars.”
Dallas marchers will gather at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at Pike Park, 2807 Harry Hines Blvd., then march about half a mile to the American Airlines Center, 2500 Victory Ave., where the Republican National Convention is being held.
Partner groups in staging the march are the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression DFW, the DFW Anti-War Committee, El Movimiento and the Freedom Road Socialist Organization.
