Funny how Katy Perry is Thursday night’s headliner at Verizon, but I seem to be seeing Robyn all over the Interwebs lately. The remix video of “Never Will Be Mine” has been released which I’m kinda obsessing over right now. The original holds up, but I needed an upbeat for this hot afternoon.
On Tuesday, Robyn’s live cover of Coldplay’s “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall,” was all the buzz. NME reported that she sang the song for a session of BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.
That’s the small stuff.
After her gig on Thursday opening for Perry, she’ll head to the Rio Room to perform a DJ set. It’s not a concert mind you so don’t rush there expecting a live version of her current single “Call Your Girlfriend.” But it just expands her fabulosity going from singing to a few thousand people to manning the DJ station at a Dallas club and, likely, a packed house.
