The Cedar Springs Merchant Association and its partners today announced the upcoming launch of Oak Lawn Live: Music & Arts Festival, set for Saturday, Sept. 19 — the day before the Michael Doughman Pride in Dallas Parade on Cedar Springs Road.
The new festival will “transform four blocks of Cedar Springs Road into a full-day celebration of live music, visual art, food, creativity and community,” according to a press release announcing the event. “Across three stages, guests will find entertainment, local vendors, neighborhood food and beverage stations — all in the heart of Dallas’ most vibrant district. “
Oak Lawn Live will be open from noon to 10 p.m. in the 3900 and 4000 blocks of Cedar Springs Road. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted at the gate. Festival information, volunteer opportunities, vendor applications and sponsorship details are available at the Oak Lawn Live website.
A full lineup of named entertainment will be announced soon.
Organizers with CSMA said, “Oak Lawn Live is a new music and art experience built to celebrate the people, creativity and culture that make this neighborhood historic, diverse and unique. We want every guest to feel welcomed, seen and connected, and we want them to leave excited about what we can build together.”
Promising an array of headlining entertainers, local artists and food set amid the bustling energy of Oak Lawn neighborhood, Oak Lawn Live is designed to be “a day worth showing up for and the start of a new Dallas tradition. Please visit our CSMA member businesses along the route, as well as our street vendors, and enjoy a great lineup of food trucks throughout the festival.”
