North Texas native Chris Steele, pictured, has added another notch to his erotica belt. This week, Centaur Films announced that Steele is the video company’s new vice president of West Coast productions.
Steele began his career as an adult performer in 1998 when he was still an Oak Lawn nightlife czar. Before moving to San Francisco, he had managed clubs like The Brick, Moby Dick and The Ice Factory, and served as owner of The Fraternity House.
From acting, he migrated to directing and screenwriting penning more than 50 adult-video scripts for various companies. In 2003, he really beefed up his resume as Falcon Studios director of production, helming some of Falcon’s biggest-budget endeavors and making big shifts in the company’s aesthetic. Under Steele’s leadership, some actors were bulky, over 30 and even had body hair. Steele also had a knack for getting strict tops to bottom.
Under the name “Austin Deeds” Steele’s actual mother earned a Falcon screenwriting credit for last year’s two-part DVD “Velvet Mafia.”
“This is a great step up,” Steele was quoted in a press release. “I look forward to producing and directing many new titles for Centaur Films.”

K-Y’S NEW LUBE
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, K-Y brand unveils Intrigue this month.
The silky personal lubricant is chasing after the market that Eros and Gun Oil dominate, but the design of the flip-tip Intrigue bottle is certainly curious. Shaped like a pocket-rocket, I haven’t seen a container this kinky since Tickle antiperspirant.
The size has been updated. At 2.75 liquid ounces, you’ll be able to toss this into your carryon bags at the airport. But like Eros and Gun Oil, Intrigue isn’t cheap, $19.99 suggested retail.
