Acres of Chinese lanterns adorn the lagoon area of Fair Park through the end of the year. Not just little lanterns but a dragon made out of hundreds of porcelain plates running the length of the Natural History museum. And a reproduction (above) of the Temple 0f Heaven at one fourth the size of the Beijing landmark. And Chinese-Texas longhorns and dinosaurs and pandas and trees and the Statue of Liberty and fish and the Little Mermaid.

Definitely worth a visit to the best use of Fair Park since someone decided to set aside all that acreage and hold a fair.
