Entertainment Tonight will air a two-part interview with Chaz Bono discussing the details of his sex reassignment. In it, Bono talks to Mary Hart about hormone therapy, growing changes and even shaving his face. This comes from ET‘s release announcing the interview.
He goes on to say, “I always felt like the male from the time I was a child. There wasn’t much feminine about me. I believe that gender is something between your ears not between your legs. That is something I discovered in the early 90’s. It was just a long process of being comfortable enough to do something about it. I was turning 40 and I thought it’s now or never. I want to still feel vibrant and be able to enjoy my life in a male body and not wait until I am an old man.”
The interview airs tonight and tomorrow.
I have the utmost respect for Chaz for his choices to live a life that makes him complete.
I’m also honored to have worked with and known other notable Transexual individuals such as Sister Mary Elizabeth who owns and operates the largest AIDS/HIV library in the world called AEGIS http://www.AEGIS.org
I’m proud to have volunteered my technology skills to help her dream become a true reality and help so many others.
CHAZ, YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL AND YOUR MOM SHOULD BE PROUD OF ALL YOUR HARD WORK
Never compromise your own self-identity and *always* love yourself no matter what others say or think. Otherwise how can you ever love someone else if you don’t love yourself first?
To say that Ms. Bono is now a man is foolish in the extreme. She is nothing more than a female who has been altered (chemically, surgically, whatever) to appear to be a man. Nothing more.
Not to say she shouldn’t be proud of herself or that her mother shouldn’t be. Not to say that her partner shouldn’t love her any more or any less. But the simple facts are: Superficial alteration of your body doesn’t change your sex and all of the PC gobbledygook in the world won’t change that fact.
Good luck Chasity/Chaz, hope you find some sort of peace.
Congrats to you Chaz…and as for Oscar, YOU are foolish to the extreme for your small minded attitude. Who are you to say what we are. It’s people like you that keep people like Chaz in the dark ages. As we move into the next decade of the 2000’s , I am proud that Chaz has “broken the Ice” for Gender disphoric people. Giving hope and being a role model to a minority that DOES exist is something that Chaz should be proud to have “pioneered” in Hollywood.
You Oscar, are one the lucky ones…who obviously has a brain and body that match. Live a day in our life and I am sure you would be a little more open minded and a lot less bigotted!!!
Well done Chaz for Standing So Strong…you have my respect.
