In its first study to redistribute equipment in 25 years, the city of Dallas has decided that one of the fire trucks from Station 11 on Cedar Springs Road should be sent to south Oak Cliff near Duncanville.
Oak Lawn residents responded with a Facebook page and urged calls to Councilwoman Angela Hunt, whose district includes that side of Cedar Spring Road. The Facebook page Save DFD Truck 11 had about 500 “likes” by Friday morning. A Blogspot website has also been created.
