This was such a great event! I enjoyed having a fruit smoothie and seeing the art work! Speaking of seeing did anyone else see security ask Council Women Angela Hunt to remove her table because she didn’t pay for one! Why would you do that!!! These events support the gay community I guess campaign funds are a little low or we are not being taken serious…. Either way it was a fun and I am ready for the next Arts Festival!!!!!!!!!

Charles, Mike – it was a great event and the weather was quite nice. I agree on the Angela Hunt thing. You WANT people like Angela to show support for such a fun event that brings out a wide variety of our community, gay and straight!

Many hard working businesses and groups paid their $100.00 to place their booth at the Cedar Springs Art Festival. Without a reservation or payment, Angela Hunt’s camapaign just came in like they owned the place and set up a table in front of JRs to pass out literature. Even “celebrity” council members need to play by the rules. They were later told by event organizsers to take down the table. James Nowlin’s campaign and even the Log Cabin GOP played and paid by the rules at the event. It was a great event! But why did Hunt’s campaign take it all for granted? — A sense of arrogant entitlement perhaps?
Other than that I LOVED the event. Cheers to the CSMA!

Here’s the version I got from event organizer David Berryman.
Hunt’s people were distributing campaign literature. Berryman told them that other candidates had paid for booth space so that one candidate participating without paying was not fair to the others. Hunt agreed and paid for space.
