Candlelight vigil to be held for fallen officer

A candlelight vigil will be held for Dallas Police Officer Rogelio Santander tonight, April 26, at the Northeast Patrol Station, 9915 Northwest Highway. Doors open to citizens at 6:30 p.m. and the program begins at 7:30 p.m. Candlelighting begins at 8 p.m.
Officer Santander was shot on Tuesday at Home Depot on Forest Lane and died of his wounds the following morning. Officer Crystal Almeida and Home Depot employee Scott Painter were also shot and remain in critical condition at Presbyterian Hospital. Armando Luis Juarez was arrested near Oak Lawn after a five-hour manhunt and is charged with murder.
