Allison Mitchell, Democratic nominee for Texas House District 108, and the Stonewall Democrats of Dallas invite community members to celebrate Dolly Day on Friday, Sept. 25, from 5-9 p.m. at Alexandre’s, 4026 Cedar Springs Road. Those attending have the chance to enjoy a special “Dolly” drink, with proceeds benefiting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
“After your 9-to-5, come celebrate with us from 5-9 p.m.,” said Mitchell, a children’s book author whose district includes parts of Oak Lawn, Turtle Creek and Uptown. “Dolly Day is a chance to come together, celebrate the incredible legacy of Dolly Parton and support the importance of put-ting books in the hands of children — a mission special to me.”
Mitchell will be at the event from 6-8 p.m.
Attendees can also register to vote, check their voter registration status and pick up campaign swag. No campaign contribution is required to attend the event. Grassroots supporters who choose to contribute to Mitchell’s campaign will receive a complimentary “Dolly” drink.
