On Friday night, Broadway legend Tyne Daly had a chance to speak on marriage equality during her curtain call speech for her current show, It Shoulda Been You, and she did so most eloquently, linking the historic June 26 decision to the Loving v Virginia decision in 1967 and her own marriage in 1966 to a man “with black skin.”
Also on Friday, Billy Porter delivered a curtain call speech at that evening’s performance of Kinky Boots describing growing up as a gay black child in the ghetto and expressing his joy at the ruling.
