Navarro County Clerk Sherry Dowd said her office will issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples beginning today.
“The state has issued the new application but our software provider said it would have to wait until tonight to change all the counties that use the same programmer,” she told the Corsicana Daily Sun.
“We will go ahead and issue it,” she said.
