Caven Enterprises President and CEO Mike Nguyen announced late Thursday evening, Aug. 18, that the company is moving its annual Halloween Block Party from its originally scheduled date of Oct. 22 to Saturday, Oct. 29  at the request of city of Dallas officials.

In an email to Dallas Voice, a Caven spokesman explained that the city asked the company to make the change because the original date of Oct. 22 would have conflicted with the Texas State Fair.

“It’s the first time ever the State Fair’s schedule conflicted with our event date,” the spokesman explained via email. “The State Fair typically starts on the fourth Friday of September, but for 2022 there are five Fridays in September,” which pushes the fair’s run further into October.

“We happily obliged and look forward to our continued growth with the city and our community,” Nguyen said.
