Dallas Police responded to a call about a body found in Reverchon Park this morning.
According to the public information officer, “On August 19, 2026, at approximately 9:25 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a call for service in the 3500 block of Maple Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined that officers located a man who had died at the location. This ongoing investigation is currently documented as an unexplained death.”
The 3500 block of Maple Avenue is Reverchon Park.
On Instagram, thedevontee witnessed the police activity and posted about what he saw.
“This morning around 10:12 a.m., a friend and I parked at Reverchon Park to head over to the Katy Trail,” he wrote. “We couldn’t help but notice numerous police vehicles lined along the side of a hill, with officers looking down toward what appeared to be a body lying near a concrete structure.”
They later saw the person removed from the park in a body bag.
Police wouldn’t comment because it is an ongoing investigation. If you have any information, call 911 and refer to case 121751-2026.
