Black Tie Dinner today (Wednesday, April 2) announced the 20 North Texas local nonprofits has chosen alongside the  Human Rights Campaign Foundation as beneficiaries of 44th Annual Black Tie Dinner, event happening Nov. 8 at Sheraton Dallas.

“We strive to empower our beneficiaries by providing them with unwavering support and opportunities that inspire growth, foster resilience, and transform lives,” said Liliana Villarreal, Black Tie Dinner’s senior co-chair. “They are significantly improving the lives of LGBTQ+ North Texans in meaningful and measurable ways.”

This year’s beneficiaries “reflect Black Tie Dinner’s mission to support organizations creating lasting impact in the LGBTQ+ community,” according to a press release announcing the selections. “From health services and youth support to arts, education, and faith-based outreach, each organization plays a critical role in driving change.

Black Tie Dinner Junior Co-Chair Deirdre Coleman added, “By providing essential funding, our support strengthens our beneficiaries serving our community, helping to create a more inclusive, equitable, and supportive environment where every individual can thrive.”

The list includes two first-time beneficiaries: Abounding Prosperity, Inc. and LGBTQ SAVES. Their selection as beneficiaries “recognizes their innovative and community-rooted approaches to addressing urgent needs in health access, education, and LGBTQ+ youth support,” the press release said,

Kickoff Event – May 8, 2025

Black Tie Dinner officially launches its 2025 fundraising season with its Kickoff Event May 8 at Park Place Motorcars Dallas. Guests at that event will get a first look at the theme for the 44th annual dinner and hear a major announcement about this year’s vehicle raffle.

Tickets for the kickoff event go on sale Monday, April 7 at BlackTie.org/Kickoff.

In its first 43 years, Black Tie Dinner has distributed more than $32 million to LGBTQ+ supportive organizations. Each year, Black Tie Dinner selects as many as 20 non-profit organizations from North Texas as local beneficiaries of its fundraising, as well as the Human Rights Campaign Foundation as its national beneficiary.
