Lzzy Hale, lead singer of Grammy-Award-winning band Halestorm, is among the notable list of female-identifying icons of the metal genre to be featured in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s newest exhibit, “Women in Metal: You Will Know My Name,” opening at the museum on July 10 in Cleveland. To celebrate the opening, Hale and band guitarist (and also her significant other) Joe Hottinger will perform a short acoustic set on the outdoor PNC Stage, followed by a slate of metal bands including Storms Within, Maxilla and Reign of Z.

From publicity:

The artists featured in “Women in Metal” exemplify what it means to defy the typical labels of womanhood and spotlight those who push boundaries and challenge the status quo to make meaningful, pioneering efforts in the metal genre. The exhibit will boast artifacts covering the breadth of women who have taken the metal world by storm, including Lita Ford, Lzzy Hale, Alissa White-Gluz, Taylor Momsen, Courtney LaPlante and more, curated by the Rock Hall’s Assistant Curator, Haley Cronin.

Hale expressed her gratitude about being included in the HOF’s newest installation.

“I’m so proud to be a part of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s ‘Women in Metal’ Exhibit.  I’m honored to stand next to my sisters of scream,” she stated.

Hale continued, “These women have set me on fire and helped shape this genre.  Together, we are creating a space to shine, be loud, and carve a path for the next generation to follow, like our foremothers inspired us. Raise your horns and come celebrate with me on July 10th!”

Released in August 2025, Halestorm’s most recent album, Everest, saw the band teaming up with Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton). On that album, the band releasethe the single and video for “Like A Woman Can,” a bluesy tribute to bisexuality. According to lead singer Lzzy Hale, “‘Like A Woman Can’ is Venus asking Mars to meet her in the middle while in the midst of a bisexual awakening.”

The band has sold more than 3 million albums in the U.S., including the RIAA-certified Platinum The Strange Case Of… and RIAA-certified Gold Halestorm. The band has received two Grammy nominations and won in 2012 for “Love Bites (So Do I)” as Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance.

Halestorm’s touring plans for 2026 include a Dallas date supporting J-metal group Babymetal. The band will perform at Dos Equis Pavilion on Sept.23.
