In the last three months, Texas Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke raised $10.4 million compared to Sen. Ted Cruz’s $4.6 million.

In his 15 months of campaigning and raising money, O’Rourke has now tied Cruz’s six year fundraising total. Both have raised $23.7 million so far for the fall election.

None of O’Rourke’s money has come from political action committees. Instead, his money has been donated by more than 200,000 Texas voters. Cruz accepts PAC money.

O’Rourke has raised more money than any other Senate candidate who is not an incumbent. Only six incumbents have out-raised O’Rourke. The top fundraiser in the Senate since January 2017 is Doug Jones who won a special election against Roy Moore in Alabama.

The only other man who out-raised O’Rourke is Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio. The women topping the fundraising list and remain ahead of O’Rourke are Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and Tammy Baldwin, D-Wisc. All of these are Democrats, although this is not a Democratic list. Cruz is the top Republican fundraiser on the list.
