Nat Turner was the slave responsible for the first rebellion against white slaveholders. Mark-Brian Sonna based his new play on the court record of the trial and Turner’s confession. The play details Turner’s inspiration, planning, and harrowing story in his quest for freedom. The play runs through the end of Black History Month at Addison Theatre Centre, and tickets are available at MBSProductions.info.
