Arts & Letters Live is a literary and performing arts series for all ages at the Dallas Museum of Art that features award-winning authors and performers of regional, national, and international acclaim.

Tonight’s author is Chris Cleave, winner of the 2006 Somerset Maugham Award for his debut novel, Incendiary.

Cleave continues to enthrall readers with his moving stories and beautiful prose. His novel, Little Bee, a New York Times number one bestseller, is the story of a collision between the world of a young Nigerian girl and a British magazine editor and the discovery of where their individuality lies.

His newest novel, Gold, focuses on the friendship between two athletes and how they traverse the shifting sands of ambition, loyalty, and love on the eve of their last Olympics, London 2012.
