The Edge of Texas, a weekend-long event sponsored by Texas Monthly magazine and Visit Dallas devoted to celebrating “the most fascinating and entertaining subjects, ideas, stories, and people in Texas,” has announced a lineup of celebs, innovators and thought-leaders. Among those who have been singled out are Drag Racer Alyssa Edwards, indie filmmaker Yen Tan and celebrichef John Tesar. Those attending The Edge of Texas “will be able to examine Texas through several lenses: culture, business, cuisine, film, politics, and music,” according to a release.

As so happens, the event takes place in early September — just before Dallas Pride. It starts on Sept. 7 at Belo Mansion in Downtown Dallas, and continues there on Saturday as well as a party at The Empire Room on the Design District on Sept. 8.

Others attending include reality TV star Rachel Lindsay (The Bachelorette), pitmasters Ronnie Killen and Jordan Jackson, and filmmakers Augustine Frizzell, Andrew Bujalski and A.J. Edwards. Tickets are available now at edge.texasmonthly.com.
