In perusing the police reports, it looks like we’ve had a small rash of aggravated robberies in recent days in the immediate area of the Cedar Springs strip.
The first two robberies were reported at 3:30 a.m. and 4:10 a.m. Monday, at 3800 Cedar Springs and 4040 Cedar Springs, according to the reports.
The third robbery occurred at 11:50 p.m Tuesday at 3100 Reagan St., near the intersection of Cedar Springs.
We’re awaiting more information about these cases from the Dallas Police Department, but for now we just wanted to give you a heads-up.
UPDATE: Just received this note from Sr. Cpl. Kevin Janse, a spokesman for the Dallas Police Department:
“They [the investigators] do not think they are related. The suspect in the first one was a known suspect who had been drinking with his victim before taking his wallet. The second one was a black male unknown age about 6-feet-4-inches tall in a two-tone Dodge pickup truck, and the last one was a homeless black male who is very skinny and frequents the area. Detectives have no further leads in any of the cases.”
