Given the saga involving Dallas-based AT&T, I’ve written a lot lately about the Human Right’s Campaign’s annual Corporate Equality Index, which rates businesses according to their LGBT policies. As I’ve mentioned repeatedly, AT&T was one of 305 businesses nationwide that received a perfect score on the CEI last year. It was also one of eight North Texas-based companies to receive a perfect score, along with AMR Corp. (American Airlines), Brinker International Inc., Texas Instruments Inc., Haynes and Boone LLP, GameStop Corp., Kimberley-Clark Corp. and Sabre Holdings Inc. But North Texas also happens to be home to two companies that appear on another list yesterday from The Huffington Post — the 10 Worst Companies for LGBT Workers, according to HRC. Irving-based Exxon Mobil Corp., which again received a zero from HRC last year, is tied atop the list with the Laclede Group Inc. Meanwhile, Fort Worth-based BNSF Railway Corp., which received a 20, is in a tie for No. 4. Unfortunately, while it’s easy to avoiding spending your money at ExxonMobil, I’m not sure how you’d boycott BNSF.
That’s it…no more Exxon…I’ll go to Chevron from now on. I’ll also send an email to Exxon telling them that they aren’t getting my gas dollars.
Who gives a flying fuck if you’re gay or straight. Last i checked it didn’t require Vick sucking to run a train. Lighten up faggots.
And what’s to stop my queer-ass from telling my employer straight out during my interview that I have very powerful connections and if they intend to use my sexuality as a weapon against me instead of hiring me for my ability to do the job with quality, then they can get out their checkbooks now so I can call my Lawyers.
No pissing, no bitching, no whining.. just pay me for the hard work I do with my hands, not with what’s between my goddamn legs. Hang you fucking coats, and insecurities, and religious bullshit at the door and do the goddamn job you’re hired for.
I don’t need to kiss anyone’s ass and hide in a fucking closet at the job. I’m a professional with skills that go far and beyond the “average joe” in my line of work. You slap me, you better make your first shot count or run like hell. My retaliation is fierce and I’ll be happy to inform you of this during my interview. Right is Right, Fair is Fair and I will proudly kick the shit out of someone else who’s abusing their power in the workforce in *any* unjustifiable way not just for queer folk.
Working for many top Corporate 500 Companies since 1981, I have learned how to play the game very well and those who intend to humiliate or belittle me better watch their step and prepare for their own fuckups to get laid on the table in front of their management as well.
I can be your best friend, or I can be your worse nightmare and I’ll be happy to give you references upon request.
So you can say “lighten up faggots” and talk about your “Vick sucking” all you want.. But if I see you fuckup and/or abuse another employee I’ll make your life a living hell wishing you kept your asshole/mouth shut. Managers are designed to “MANAGE” and yes, even managers make costly mistakes to the company. Along comes someone like me focused on efficiency and exposes those mistakes, as well as their unprofessional demeanor and it doesn’t take long to see a “changing of the guards” and it also blows their mind when I decline being promoted to that position with a response “If I wanted to be a manager, I would have applied for the job. I’m a technical specialist and I wish to remain as such. Fell free to hire someone else to herd your cattle”
