Eric Joseph Keyes, 48, of Dallas and formerly of Lenoir, N.C., passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Oct. 4, 2012. He was born on Aug. 5, 1964, and was the son of the late Joseph Keyes and Nettie Keyes. He is survived by two sisters, Sylvia Keyes and Joan Keyes McGee (and husband Dr. Timothy McGee). Also, he is survived by a beloved family friend, Nancy Holloway.
Keyes was a graduate of Hibriten High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Most of his career was spent in the retail sector of business as a buyer, merchandiser and strategic planner. He has worked for many reputable and prestigious retail companies, such as Rich’s Department store in Atlanta, Federated Department Stores corporate in New York City, Home Depot corporate in Atlanta and, most recently, J.C. Penney corporate in Plano. He lived in many different places throughout his career and made many wonderful and devoted friends along the way.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Robin’s Nest Children’s Advocacy Center, 1051 Harper Avenue, Lenoir, N.C. 28645.

Robert Rangel of Dallas, formerly of Laredo, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012. He was 29. Rangel and his identical twin brother, Rene, were born April 1, 1983.
Rangel moved to Dallas in 2005 and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in architecture in 2011, and was studying for his master’s degree. Rangel was an amazing young man and loved by all who knew him. He will forever be remembered for his infectious smile, sense of humor, wit, intelligence, caring nature and handsome appearance. Rangel was quick with a kind word and funny comment, and his loss will be immeasurable to his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Ramon. He is survived by his brothers, Rene and Tomas; his mother, Gracie; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A special 30th birthday celebration of Rangel’s life is being planned for April 2013 for the many friends who want to remember this amazing young man. In lieu of flowers, his friends ask that donations be made to the Turtle Creek Recovery Center.

Billie L. Williams died in Dallas on Monday, Oct. 15. He was born Sept. 13, 1965, in Union City, Tenn.
He had lived in Chicago, Houston, Arkansas, Florida and finally Dallas. Much of his life was spent in the communications industry. Williams loved making and listening to music. Many friends who knew and loved him surrounded him in the Oak Lawn community. Williams never had anything bad to say about other people. He was a lover and will be greatly missed. He considered himself to be of the Catholic faith. Williams will be remembered at a private memorial service with close friends. A celebration of his life will be at the Hidden Door this Saturday, Oct. 20, at 9 a.m.
