Tiaras, glamorous gowns and house-rocking performances were in full effect at the 10th annual Miss LifeWalk pageant June 23 at the Rose Room at S4. The 2013 Pageant was produced by the Guys and Dolls LifeWalk Team and graciously hosted by Ima Lush and Victoria Weston.
Guys and Dolls co-captain Jerry McDonald said, “A huge thank you to all the former Miss LifeWalks who continue to come back year after year and help our charity pageant grow, producing much-needed funds for the clients of AIDS Arms Inc. and our Partner Agencies. We are thrilled to be celebrating 10 years of the pageant.”
The 2013 Miss LifeWalk Contestants were Miss Beyonca DeLeon representing Guys & Dolls, Veda Chardonnay representing the Green Team and Sienna Silver representing GDMAF. Special guest performances included Victoria Weston, Gloria Screamer and former Miss LifeWalk winners Anita Nother, Ima Lush, Lotta Pink, Iowna Traylor and Barbara Koa. The 2013 Miss LifeWalk winning categories are as follows:
Miss Congeniality: Sienna Silver
Miss Spirit of LifeWalk: Veda Chardonnay
Miss Money Bags: Veda Chardonnay
Evening Wear Winner: Veda Chardonnay
Talent Winner: Beyonca DeLeon
2nd Runner Up: Sienna Silver
1st Runner Up: Beyonca DeLeon

The total raised from the event was $16,800. Over the 10 years the pageant has raised more than $110,000 for LifeWalk, which takes place Oct. 6. This year’s walk will benefit AIDS Arms Inc. and other AIDS services partner agencies: AIDS Interfaith Network, AIDS Services of Dallas, Greg Dollgener Memorial AIDS Fund, Legal Hospice of Texas, Resource Center Dallas, Turtle Creek Chorale, The Women’s Chorus of Dallas and UT Southwestern Community Prevention and Intervention Unit.
