Youth First Texas will hold a FUNdraiser on Sept. 30, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Zubar on Lower Greenville. The event is intended to help the organization raise money to match a gift from a private donor who will give Youth First $25,000 by the end of the year if the group can raise an additional $25,000.
The evening will include complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Terri Chappell, the award-winning news anchor from CW33 television station, will be emcee. Youth First Texas operates a drop-in center on Maple Avenue that is open five days a week, offering a safe place, free counseling, educational events and recreational activities.
