As if it weren’t bad enough that we already have elected lawmakers in the U.S. blaming us gays for all the country’s ills and saying that we have no morals are a bigger threat than Islamic extremists — Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern and Utah State Sen. Chris Buttars — now we have a Russian “scholar” predicting that we are going to be at least part of the reason that the U.S. collapses completely within the next couple of years.
Igor Panarin, a dean at the Russian Foreign Ministry’s school for future diplomats, in a speech this week to students, professors and diplomats predicted that “There is a high probability that the collapse of the United States will occur by 2010.”
He didn’t say exactly what he based this prediction on, but did say that the economic recession is part of it and that Americans are in moral decline and our great psychological stress is evident from school shootings, the size of the prison population and the number of gay men.
Yep, once again, it’s all the gay people’s fault.

Well, obviously he’s partly right! The US has started it’s decline (really not as much a decline as EVERYONE ELSE caught up to us!) but the reason is not homosexuality. The reason is debt. We were greedy and complacent as well as ignorant. You can’t explain Reagan and ‘W’ any other way. We are just plain stupid.

I think you are misinterpreting his words. He said that the number of gay men was some indicator of the overall moral situation of the country. The way he wrote it was that it was a SYMPTOM of the decline, not the cause. The way it reads is that a certain level of moral permissiveness/inclusivness/tolerance whatever you want to call it is needed for any significant number of gay men to live an open existence. But Panarin also links the tolerance to a degree of moral decline. I’m not sure if he can support this claim in anyway, but he did point to that as a precursor to the collapse of Rome, Byzantium and even the British Empire.
The reliance on foreign made products, especially from China, the continuation of the US Treasury Bond Ponzi Scheme and the encouragement of selling out American workers for illegal aliens and foreign workers is what will cause the downfall of the US, if it ever happens. We need to send a clear message to the government, to end free trade with non-North American Continent Countries and bring back the heavy tariffs that protected our workers in the past.
