Someone took to the streets of The Gayborhood overnight on Saturday, March 28-Sunday, March 29 to bring back the rainbow crosswalks, spray-painting rainbow colors in the crosswalk at Cedar Springs Road and Oak Lawn Avenue, along with one very clear, very definite message: We Are Here.
The rainbow colors may have been a bit haphazard, but there’s no mistaking the message. The homophobes may scrape some paint off some pavement. But the LGBTQ+ community is here to stay, and we refuse to be invisible.
