Broadway icon — as well as singer and TV/film star — Bernadette Peters will headline the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center on Aug. 30 for An Evening with Bernadette Peters and the Plano Symphony Orchestra.

Today, she released this video specifically to her North Texas Fans.

For anyone unfamiliar (no judgment), Peters’ career spans more than six decades in musical theater, television and film with a number of solo concerts and six album recordings as well. She has received seven nominations for Tony Awards and has won two (plus an honorary award).

Her signature work has been highly regarded in works by Stephen Sondheim, Peters is particularly noted for her characters in the musicals Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (1984), Song and Dance (1985), Into the Woods (1987), The Goodbye Girl (1993), Annie Get Your Gun (1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2010), Follies (2011) and Hello, Dolly! (2018).

She has also appeared in The Muppet Show, Saturday Night Live, Ugly Betty and High Desert on television and in the films Pennies from Heaven (1981), Anastasia (voice, 1997) and Tick, Tick… Boom! (2021).
